Are *you* crazy? :) Only the following locations had subways in the
1950s: NYC, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Rochester, Cleveland,
Newark. In the 1950s, California did not have any subway systems.
Only 10-11% of the US population lived in these 7 cities, and not
every child would have used the subway.
