    This guy, one of my favorites, gets very little press around here.

    I'm pretty sure I mentioned this before, but it's so memorable, I'll
    mention it again.

    Saw him with John Lee Hooker in the late 60s at McCabe Hall in the San
    Jose Civic Auditorium. He was so fucking drunk, he fell flat on his
    back. I guess he was the consummate showman, because he grabbed the
    microphone cable, and pulled the microphone stand down to him, and
    continued singing, with the microphone stand in between his legs, as
    they were going back and forth in time to the music. One of the funniest
    things I’ve ever witnessed on a stage.

    I went looking for that, but couldn't find it.

    But while I'm here, I also got John Lee Hooker's autograph on the poster
    that night. It took him like 5 minutes to sign it. I mean , he did have
    3 names, but damn...

    Unfortunately, it got lost over the years.

    Neither could I. Don't remember where I saw it, either. Maybe in a
