Jeannie's real name was Rita Hughes (b.1946), the teenage daughter of
a Chester pub owner (17 miles south of Liverpool).

In Sept '62 The Pacemakers of Chester changed their name to Four Hits
and a Miss (Rita). One year later, name changed again to Jeannie and
    the Big Guys.

After Rita left the Big Guys she fronted Liverpool's Earl Royce and
the Olympics but never recorded with them.

Rita then went solo, cutting a pair of singles, "A Love Like Yours"
and "Lonely City Blue Boy," under the name Cindy Cole in '65-'66: https://www.45cat.com/artist/cindy-cole

She later became a successful cabaret artist in her home town, before
    passing away in 1988.
