EASY guv'na. It's a GOOD flip side, but nowhere near "one of the very
"best" IMO. It's not even among their 3 best flip sides on Cadence.
1. Should We Tell Him
2. I Wonder If I Care As Much
3. Devoted To You

I like most all of the Everly Brothers imitators from this time with the
best one being the Travis and Bob hit that you inexplicably do not like.
I like "When" but IMO is doesn't compare to "Tell Him No" well. "When"
is a very cornball teen sound that's basically overproduced fake rock
and roll while Travis and Bob have a much more raw sound that is
actually solid rock and roll as far as I am concerned.

OMG I don't hear anything remotely "raw" in the performance of Travis &
Bob nor in the "Tell Him No" song itself. I find it a pretty weak
performance on a nothing song by a twee duo---but that verdict carries
over to the Dean & Marc and Jackson Brothers covers too.
Let's face it...I'm just NOT a "Tell Him No" fan

A very misleading remark. It might indeed be cornball if you stop and *coldly* analyze it, but it's definitely not overproduced, and for
millions of teenagers (and adults) it was, and still is, true rock and
roll (of the mid 50s kind).
Bruce, I don't think you have a feel for rock and roll that was not
by a late 40s black artist (eg Harris).
"When" is a very cornball teen sound that's basically overproduced fake rock >and roll.
These 'pussy boys' have done 1000 times as much to positively advance American
lifestyle and place America atop the world than any fucking Bro from the Ghetto.

Really? So I don't have "a feel" for Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee, Elvis and
Buddy Holly?
Get your head out of your ass, pussy boy.

On the contrary, utterly desperate, *trouble-making* Bruce; the
history of my posts in this newsgroup over two decades clearly
indicate that I have no such hate, but rather endless admiration for
'bros' contribution to our, indeed the Western World's, music.
And, I am in no way a supremacist, that would be unconscionably
blinkered and foolish. In fact, I've never even said I'm white.

Gee, what a mystery. Is Geoff white or black or something else. An
obvious coward who is the only member hear afraid to reveal his real
full names and other details about his life.
ONLY a white supremacist would ever say
"These 'pussy boys' have done 1000 times as much to positively advance >American lifestyle and place America atop the world than any fucking Bro
from the Ghetto."
You may admire the contribution to music of "bros from the ghetto," but >otherwise you clearly see them as worthless. They are only okay to
entertain you.
The only people now who refer to each other as "bro" are
white geeks.
This Black guy is one of the smartest people in he world. Do you admire
him more than all those white pussy boys?

Utter rubbish, the word is still used within the Black community.

How would you know? Are you claiming to spend time in the ghetto with
the fucking bros?
Co-pilot tells us:
the term "bro" is still widely used among many people, including
within the Black community
anyway, you are taking things too literally, Bruce;
in the context of our debate, bro rhymes with ghetto
and 'fucking' was an allusion to your love of the word

LOL, so you ask a computer that is programmed by a white geek like you
about what things are like in the black community. That's rich. As if
that pussy boy has ever been in the ghetto.

Heads up gang, Bruce thinks there's a horde of white geeks sitting at computer stations waiting to answer your Co-pilot question.
By the way, Bruce, a champ pussy boy, like me, is rarely also a cock
sucker, like you.
