I never heard this record before, and I'd always assumed she was called >"Little Miss Dynamite" because she was such a dynamic singer. Amazing
to find she sounded exactly the same at age 12 as she did as an adult.
(Those lyrics sure wouldn't fly for a 12-year-old performer today.)

Brenda's rich and charming Southern (Atlanta) accent when singing,
added to her appeal in my opinion (she grew up poor, which accentuates accents everywhere - only working-class bred Londoners have that
famous Michael Caine Cockney accent :)
Tho I wasn't born in London I lived there from an early age long enough
to qualify as a Londoner (and knowing how VERY much class means to
you,
yes I was definitely 101% lower working class
Several members on here have either met me in person or talked on phone
so they'd know {if I had a Cockney accent}

How about simply asking your partner or a friend/acquaintance?
I/We sincerly appreciate you revealing not long ago your English
Midlands Birmingham origins (120 miles from London). The working-class
accent from that area is known as Brummie; might that be your accent?

After more than seventy years of living down South? What do you think?

Will be embarking on a British Isle cruise in late August of '25!!
Will be in London for a day or two before traveling to Southampton to
shove off to a couple of stops in Scotland and pinballing back down to Belfast, Dublin, and then spending my 72nd birthday in the Cavern Club
in Liverpool!!
Hopefully, I'll be honored to meet up with the great Ford, baby!!!

The difference is that I don't obsess about it

retail worker, cab/taxi driver, school bus driver,
You left quite a few other occupations out like I was a print worker,a
street market stall holder and several other jobs at various times.
I never was a "school bus driver" as such---I was a licenced taxi driver
who happened to drive an 8 seater minibus and fulfilled a daily school >transport contract. (it helps a good deal to get your basic facts right)

They would indeed be easily impressed in that case but I don't believe
that is the case.

You are fooling yourself to think I obsess about it.
It's of momentary interest/intensity/competition, I'm just reacting to
recent posts. You are clearly an intense and competitive person
yourself...

My meaning is that over the years I've either met in person or talked
over the phone to most if not all the NYC/NJ members on here both past
and present and found them all to be decent, solid and friendly folk and nowhere near the watery "easily impressed" kind of characters that you
seem to be portraying
Thans, Roger. Having met you, I can attest that you, too, are decent, solid, >and friendly.

Roger, is one of only two people in the history of this newsgroup to
have publicly threatened *potential* manslaughter of another member,
after having his ego offended in a *minor* spat arising out of the
quality of a chosen YT link. So much for 'solid'.

Mark Dintenfass (of NYC working-class background I note :), you are a cowardly foul-mouthed sad case talking pure fiction. And fiction is
something you taught and specialized in for many years at Lawrence,
wasn't it. Going by this post of yours I hope you didn't also teach
spelling or grammar, unless your English powers are fading in your
twilight years.
Goodness me! (or Deary me, for Roger :-)))
You sure you're not on the spectrum? You seem kind of obsessive. And it's odd >that you bother to Google us when you hide behind a mask.

Mark, your disgusting and pathetic post suggests that it's you that
might have ASD.
In your mind, what am I obsessive about *for no good reason* ?
What is odd about having a security and enigmatic mask on the
Internet?
Mark, looking past this contretemps, I do admire many of your posts
