Georgia Tom and Kansas City Kitty were a *duo*, but on this record she's singing while he's doing some top-notch piano playing.  To me, this is
not a duet, no matter what the label says.

    Yes

It's a DUO but NOT a duet IMO

I have given this whole "duets" matter a HUGE amount of thought lately
and that is my current opinion

As a matter of interest how do you class these records?

Which of these do you consider genuine DUETS?

    a) IKE & TINA TURNER - It's Gonna Work Out Fine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tm5oBpuGRrI

    b) IKE & TINA TURNER - River Deep Mountain High https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjLQFbERHkc

    c) FRANK SINATRA & HARRY JAMES - Castle Rock https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rhk1MDiuEnU

    d) LES PAUL & MARY FORD - Vaya Con Dios ehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJy1ZrDlIAk

    e) JAMES BROWN - You've Got The Power https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvxB3Yr-Ik4

I don't think Ike is even on this. Supposedly he made a deal with
Spector that Phil could use Tina on the record, but the artist had to be
    Ike & Tina Turner.
