Even if there was some reason other than travel circumstances, it
wouldn't be fraudulent because he disclosed how he was following the
event from the first blog entry. There was no deception. When his
impression of a pianist's tone was negative, he continued to qualify his remarks when he thought it could be a limitation of the audio streaming.
On the other hand, the selective quoting by Slipped Disc doesn't come
across as entirely forthright journalism. The next sentence was
omitted, probably in the hopes of fomenting maximum outrage: "All the
more reason that I look forward to covering the Finals in person from
Fort Worth."
