Peter Serkin re: lack of online description of products

Only on going to a record store do I realize that
I wanted Peter Serkin's piano box set so bought it.
Online descriptions only give track lists, but I
didn't notice anything until I saw the box set
on hand, with pictures of the original LPs including the
cover of the LP with the muddy pictures of Busoni and
Reger. The front of the LP is all I remembered, not
the name or contents.
The side of the box set that has the pictures
is not shown online.
It would make sense to include pictures of the entire
box (or both sides of a CD) on *all* releases online,
especially when the box set has pictures of
the covers of all the CDs of the original LPs in the
box. Some people only remember the picture.
This goes for other things with lack of online technical
description, such as DVDs. Often enough when there's
a release of an old broadcast there's missing info
regarding the contents that may be on the back of the
DVD but not shown online:
Is it an old TV broadcast shown with the entire
screen or is 30% cut off the top and bottom of
the picture to make fake widescreen?
The DVD and the Blu-ray might be the same, or the
DVD might by full while the Blu-ray is cut down,
or the old DVD might be fake widescreen while
the new Blu-ray gives the whole picture. All
these situations exist.
