I have no idea about Google group search rankings. There has been a
flood of Google Groups spam to some Usenet newsgroups in the wake of the announcement of the discontinuation of posting to Usenet via Googe
Groups. (Filters have always helped with those idiots spamming the
groups.) All we can do is hope it stops and they don't find another
venue for flooding the groups with their crap posts.
