• OH NO! SQUIGGLE Channel Is Back! - News: Charter/Spectrum and Disney St

    From Ian J. Ball@21:1/5 to All on Fri Jun 27 14:57:15 2025

I was actually relieved when Spectrum dropped SQUIGGLE! (Freeform) and
most of the other 7 channels - they were superfluous.

Cable TV needs to shed channels, not add more. This is going in the
    wrong direction.

In addition, Spectrum cable subscribers will now get access to the Hulu
with ads plan (in additions to the Disney+ with ads plan from 2023).
None of which helps me, as I refuse to use ad plans (unless its
something like AMC+ which I wouldn't even bother with unless it was
    included).

My mother was watching Eight Men Out (1988), a decent movie about the
Black Sox scandal (Charles Comiskey is the enemy, not the players who
took bribes some of which were never paid out), on a sports channel
between games. She started late and there were frequent commercial interruptions. I found it on streamning (spit), I think Freevu, which I
think is Amazon. It had commercials, but they were frontloaded, with one commercial break in the middle. That was acceptable. Of course, closing
credits were cut off as they were immediately shoving the viewer into autoloading a random movie. I couldn't see how to turn off autoplay.

AMC+ is valuless. Even if I want something, it turns up on one of the associated satellite channels a week later that I'm already paying for.
You really have to be a sucker to subscribe a la carte to it.

I could tell you, but you wouldn’t listen to me anyway
