Yesterday was actually a productive work day, after playing my video
    game in the morning.

So, once again, all I got through is soaps:

soaps: Y&R - Epie from within the past week. Kyle basically tells Claire
to buzz off - that he's not going to grovel for Victor's approval
because it's pointless (true!) - which Claire doesn't like to hear.
Mariah continues to not tell Tessa what she did, causing Tessa anguish.
(How long is it going to be before Tessa falls into bed with Daniel?!!)
Phyllis tells Daniel she's done with Billy's new business venture, and
is actually plotting revenge! REVENGE! against Billy!
DOOL - GH. Wed's ep. Alexis hires Spinelli to track down Ric's
totalled car from the accident, to "help" awful Kristina, and they track
down that Ava hid the totalled car away in a warehouse. Drew, Willow &
Nina, and Carly, Jason & Diane, respectively, are forced to plot
strategies now that the divorce hearing is happening in a couple of
weeks - ridiculously, they want us to believe this is going to happen
without Michael being physically present there! [roll!] Laura gets into
it with Councilman Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) in front of Lulu; earlier,
Lulu tells Laura she's dropped her adoption article, which puzzles Laura.

Sidenote: Today is the last "official" day of classes for me. Next week
I have to give final exams on Monday and Friday, and will have go into
work on Thursday (and Saturday evening!) as well, but Summer break fast approaches, so hopefully I can get back to some movie watching next week
(or definitely the week after next!).

    Fringe S2E11 'Unearthed'.

This episode was shot for the first season, but only broadcast as a
"special" episode after the winter break on a different day, with the
press release stating that this is either an episode from the first
season or from an "alternative universe" (referring to the overall story
arc of the second season.) The presence of Kirk Acevedo, whose character
died earlier in season 2 (but was a regular in season 1), causes a major continuity problem in this episode. Careful observation tells you this
is season 1 and the good Charlie. Astrid had a distinct hair style in
both seasons and in this episode it was the season 1 cut before Charlie
died or was replaced. Netflix and HBO Max sticks this episode after the
season 1 finale, which only partially solves the continuity problem.

Agent Charlie Francis reappears in this episode despite having died
earlier in the season. That's because "Unearthed" was filmed during
season 1 but didn't air until season 2. Actor Joshua Jackson explained
why it never aired during season 1: "[The network] only had 22 airdates
for our show this year, but they ordered 23 episodes, so we shot one for
next year, which is just silly TV network stuff."

The glyphs in this episode spell "Avenge`".

Dr. Walter Bishop: [in old film] My name is Dr. Walter Bishop, and this
    is test subject number 6.
Peter Bishop: [watching film] What happened to test subjects 1 through 5?
Dr. Walter Bishop: I believe the university settled with them out of
court, and they probably never had to work again. Not that they could.

Maureen Donovan: What kind of drugs?
Dr. Walter Bishop: Benzodiazepine. It's a hypnotic, sedative, may cause
a slight tingling sensation - it's actually quite pleasant. Besides,
your daughter is 17. I'm sure she's sampled far worse by now.

    What did you watch?

I made a post yesterday and apparently usenet ate it. It's not in my
sent, outbox or drafts. So this will be a quick two day catch-up.

    I watched:

Law & Order: Organized Crime (Peacock) - I finished episode 2 and
watched episode 3, which was mostly background noise.

Sherlock and Daughter - "For Kith and Kin" - Mostly background noise.

Love, Death, and Robots (Netflix) - I watched the first three episodes.
    They were generally, meh.

Final Destination Bloodlines (theatrical) 6th movie in the franchise and
this one is one massive backstory to explain them all, more or less.
This one starts in 1968 and shows a young woman surviving the
destruction of a restaurant at the top of a tower thanks to a handy premonition. All the deaths in all the movies have simply been death
cleaning up lose ends, and now death has finally come for her, and her
family. Technically death has been after her for decades. But she has
been studying death for decades, always staying one step ahead. Unlike
other Final Destination movies where you get one person who has a
premonition then tries to warn everyone else this movie has a group of
people who pretty early on know what's up and how the game is played
thanks to their mother/grandmother who has been preparing them since
birth. Not everyone believes at first, but when things start to go
down, they quickly get with the picture. That puts a slightly different
spin on it, not that death isn't coming for them anyway. Overall, it
was OK. And obviously it was Tony Todd's final movie. It was
particularly sad because he was obviously sick when he filmed his scenes
and knew he was dying. :-(

Sherlock forgot? I'm going to put my money on lied. Especially since
there was a picture of all of them together. It was plausible for him
to say he was physically there, but she was just another face in a large
crowd. But now we know otherwise.
