watching welcome one and all to this
latest and newest video I'm your host
the report of the week thank you for
checking in so diverting from a direct
review hence the uh little bit different
introduction today this is I think going
to become a bit of a yearly tradition I
began this last year it was very well
received and I thought what the heck
let's just do it again with 2024 now
drawing to a close and it's crazy how
time flies I decided to take a look back
at the reviews that I've done over the
last year and see what were the five
worst fast food releases of
2024 so needless to say after checking
out a lot of reviews and uh there were a
lot of bad ones out there too I need to
emphasize that I finally narrowed it
down and I have the five worst fast food
releases of 2024 all lined up so let's take a look
back and starting things off we go back
to the beginning of 2024 with
Pizza Hut's cheeseburger melt at number five I
mean I just have a good feeling about
this Pizza Hut they've released their
new cheeseburger melt because obviously
we know that a pizza place that makes
fast food pizza makes the best burgers
too we we obviously know that features
parmesan crust it then contains beef Applewood smoked
bacon onions mozzarella and cheddar
cheese and then burger sauce cuz you
can't have a a burger without that of
course and it is available for the price of
$8 fake to it a little oily on the bottom
I had a burger yesterday a real Burger I actually went
over to Five Guys and uh got a bacon
burger from them which was solid and I was thinking back to even
just what I ate yesterday and I cannot come
up with even one reason one reason
whatsoever as to why I or really anyone
else for that matter should choose this
thing from Pizza Hut over a burger from
anywhere not just five guys but anywhere
even McDonald's Burger King
Wendy's the cheese is just sort of
slightly undercooked as well the beef
especially anemic water watery something
just tastes wrong about it the onions
are raw and slimy out of 10 therefore I
mean I'm going to have to give the
cheeseburger melt what the only good
thing to say is that the little bacon
pieces are sort of
inoffensive and that the sauce covers up
all the horrible flavors otherwise I
can't see how I can give this anything
higher than a 2 out of
10 yeah scoring only a 2 out of 10 on
the scale that was certainly a bad
release this next release also scored a
2 out of 10 but I was thinking about it
I think that this next one was
definitely worse than the cheeseburger
Melt from Pizza Hut and it was uniquely
bad I will say the honey lemon pepper
wings from Popeyes what was so bad about
them you'll find out in a minute and
they've been promoting and promoting and
promoting These Wings release after release after
release and no one cares absolutely no one
in any capacity cares one single bit
they have released their new honey lemon
pepper wings and uh the name is pretty
self-explanatory it has a lemon pepper
sauce with a little bit of sweetness a
tiny bit of little black pepper spice
and then that zest from the uh lemon as
well I will say they they are pretty
decent size at least and I could really
smell the honey there the honey and the the lemon as well not
much the pepper but I could smell the
honey and the and the lemon as I was eating this I was
thinking to myself I was just sitting here I was
thinking to myself you know there's
there's no other way to put this
but the first thought that I had when I
took a bite immediately I thought there's a big problem
here this tastes like a cough
drop and that might sound like something
weird but I'll get into a little bit of a a brief
anecdote there were times when I would
be feeling under the weather and uh
there were these cough drops that I
would get and I think they still make
them I'm not sure the brand maybe it's
Rola or something like that where the
cough drop has this sort of of uh lemon
type flavor maybe that's intentional
maybe it's not and then in the center of
it there's like this little bit of a
honey just to try to make it you know
more um more sort of bearable and
tolerable this has the same flavor profile is
that these aren't good avoid them in my
opinion take the $8 and go buy something
else with it because this is a waste of
your money and uh don't don't bother with it
what am I going to be rating the new
honey lemon pepper wings from Popeyes
very disappointing these were way worse
than I ever thought they would
be I got to give him a two out of 10 I
might be incorrect with this but I think
that review was probably the first and
only time in the Channel's history that
I ended up comparing chicken wings to
cough drops but that's what they tasted
like and they were they were abysmally
bad in that regard definitely some of
the worst Wings I've ever had easily how
they managed to get them that way it's still I
I remain perplexed next up on the list now at
number three is actually very recent as
a matter of fact it's the last video I
did before this one scoring a 1.5 out of
10 this one has burned fresh into my
memory this was absolutely disgusting
definitely worthy of the rating that it
got it's the mushroom bacon cheeseburger
from Wendy's this one was horrible it
was disgusting take a look comes with
beef comes with roasted mushrooms so
comes with bacon moer cheese and a garlic
spread I don't understand how this got
on the the notepad that's a first
yeah this is one of those reviews after
the even after the first bite I already
I already know where this is going I like the
um I like the hair that I found in this
too that's that's that's just great you
can sort of see the hair hanging there
it's baked in for extra flavor of course then come the two main
ingredients which were most disappointing all right number one the
roasted mushrooms like I said they're
obviously very low quality um you know
it's just the the texture and the
quality and the flavor of them there's
nothing good about uh they're just slimy
They Don't Really smell that great
either and then you have this garlic
spread which uh just isn't that good either it's
more it has a garlic note to it but it's more watery
than anything else as soon as I took that first bite I
just wasn't really motivated to take a
second bite and um yeah I sto did and I
took a third and then a fourth and then
I stopped when again I took the bite and
there was some resistance and that's
when I saw the hair in it but anyway uh
it's just not good like I said there's
very little to really compliment about this burger
all right I'm going to give this a 1.5
out of 10 the mushroom bacon
cheeseburger Fair idea abysmal
execution there's really nothing good to
say about that one but
if there was an item that was even worse than that
somehow and yes indeed it is possible we
go to number two on the list this one is
from Burger King released about a month
or two ago their pickle fries massive
disappointment take a look I was
thinking about whether or not I was even
going to say this in this review and I'm
going to because I want to highlight the
authentic fast food experience of 2024
for all of you you know what else is
really you know what else is really
regrettable quite
frankly the fact that there used to be
four Burger Kings in my area one of them was shut
down I checked because all of these
Burger Kings lately have had problems I
checked recent reviews you know that
people have left on sites you know such
as Google and Yelp and all of that and
people can talk about the the efficacy
and honesty of those reviews I understand but you could sort of get a
consensus of it you know what's really regrettable is the fact that the
three Burger Kings near me that I could choose from one is rad
infested one is roach infested where people keep saying they find dead
roaches in all the food and the third one is fly in infested so I went with
the fly infested Burger King uh this time around it's going
in I hate these maybe I could only speak for myself but
uh you know maybe this is just like a
botched batch some people I I saw online
we're talking about how good these were
and uh I hate this I really do there's
nothing good I have to say about this these are awful
and I only have four minutes but I could
go on for 20 minutes about everything
wrong with these number one I love how
this is what's this is what's inside of
all of these this tiny little sliver
right here that's like
microscopic it's like the edge the skin
of a dill pickle that's what these are
loaded with what I got every single one
of these so there's barely any actual
pickle flavor half of these don't even
have any pickle in them they're just
these empty fried extremely oily
extremely greasy and extremely salty
empty shelves there's one that's like
that there's this blob that's another
one the uh ranch dressing does nothing
to salvage this um these are horrible uh
this is this is if there is a way
possible to take fried pickles and mess
them up as much as you possibly could
this is probably how you would do it um
this is God awful and it's greasy to the
point that it's very unpleasant salty to
the point that it is extremely
unpleasant and uh you know so I go
through that and then I just get to gnaw
on this you know sort of almost burnt
overcooked rubbery pickle skin but um
this is a travesty this is just horrible
there's nothing good about this um
there's nothing I can't find a single
good thing to say uh wow I I was blown
away at what what um I didn't think you
could do what they somehow did to these
pickle fries I really just don't get it
the pickle fries from Burger King those
got a one out of 10 rating I'm not sure
if that was in the clip or not but that
got a 1 out of 10 and you might think
well there's still got to be something
worse than that so what exactly was the
single worst item of
2024 some of you might remember this one
maybe some of you won't
Arby's they easily easily released the worst item of
2024 by far uh several several months ago I think it was in August
or so they released their bourbon barbecue chicken
sandwich and this one was bad
on a whole another level in the 13 years
now close to 14 years I've been doing
this channel this is one of the worst
things I've ever tried by far this was
on a whole another level of bad so
without a shadow of a doubt the single
worst fast food release of 2024 Arby's
Takes the Cake what made it so bad see for
yourself I'm not reviewing this I'm not trying it
I'm not so much as even going to take a single bite of this I'm
not I made the decision and uh this is the first time
in probably the 13 years I think it's been almost 14 now that I've
been doing this YouTube channel that I looked at the
item and I made the call I'm not I'm not even taking a bite of this I
cannot I I drew the line here people are
going to say well what reviewer are you
to do that but if you were in my shoes right
now I would imagine You' probably do the
same and you know what's funny it's
funny isn't it I made this video because
there wasn't a lot coming out you know
there are some new releases on the
horizon granted I made this video to try
to give Arby's one more chance and I kid
you not then this is what happens like
you can't even you can't make this stuff
up this is why I made the call I could
already smell that something isn't right
here and um you know I open it up and
I'm thinking all right you it looks
fairly normal anyway but I wanted to be
sure I cut it in half and again I don't
know how this really looks from the crosssection
but now even if I were to review this
that bottom a tiny little sliver that's
your chicken fillet right there and that's it which is
sad and then all the other stuff is like
onions and stuff but that tiny little sliver is just that's all your
chicken which is again pretty sad to see
for a chicken sandwich but where I drew
the line is after I cut it in half
because something again smelled didn't smell right
and it just smells like rotten that's
all that I could say and I'm not
necessar I'm just saying what it smells
like all right I'm not saying that I
know for sure that that's what it is or
that it's just actually really old
or um expired or whatever you know all I
can say is what it smells like and it
does not smell good it's got like this
garbage uh smell to
it and I drew the line there I can't
review it and I'm not going to review it
I am not going to take a single bite of
this and maybe it's just a oneoff
instance but but I've gotten food
poisoning enough in the last year I've
gotten it so many times I just don't
want to deal with it again and this is
one of those instances where my gut
feeling is just screaming at me just
don't do it just don't take a bite of
this throw it out it's not worth it and
you I thought to myself you're right it
isn't worth it um because I've like I
said I've had food poisoning and it
makes me down for the count for days and
days and look for a YouTube video it's
not worth it
and to sit here and take a few bites out
of this and make a bad face and talk how
about how bad it is and then be in
misery for days possibly if this is what
I think it is um I can't do it it's not
worth it this is the first time ever
that I drew the line with an item like
this and um I can't try it and I'm not
going
to you know a score I mean I would have
to I'd probably give it like a zero out
of 10
simply when something is so bad that you
know you can't even feel safe or
comfortable eating it
but pains me really does so there you
have it the five worst releases of
2024 you know one thing looking over the
list right now because I have it before
me one thing that really took me by
surprise is the fact that there aren't
any Taco Bell releases on the list here
and again I went through all the videos
I did in the last year I marked down the
scores I looked through them and uh
there were plenty of mediocre Taco Bell
releases but shockingly uh the the the
absolute worst items of
2024 none of them were from Taco Bell
and uh there were no repeats either
every single chronologically going
through you know all the lowest scores
they were all from different
establishments so it's not like the list
was made this way just for the sake of
mixing it up this is actually the order
that it was in and just some interesting
observ
there a lot of mediocre items came out
though in the last year but these were
the worst of the worst and we'll
definitely have to see what
2025 has in store if things are just
going to end up getting worse if they're
going to get better or where things will
stand from there what a year it has been
and uh like I said it's crazy to imagine
that 2024 is already coming to a close
but I'm not going anywhere the channel
isn't going anywhere the reviews
continue and we will just have to wait
and see what awaits Us in
2025 fingers crossed anyway that uh some
of these releases will be a little bit
better but I suppose time will
tell and with that I hope this video
made at least for a little bit of an
enjoyable viewing this is sort of just
becoming a yearly tradition it's fun to
just assemble these clips put it
together sort of just like a laidback a
fun video just to finish the year out
with and again and hope it made for an
enjoyable viewing if you would like you
