A star from the series said "witches are queer inherently."

The much-hyped Disney+ series ôAgatha All Alongö is ôthe gayest project
Marvel has ever done,ö according to one of its stars.

Actress Sasheer Zamata confirmed that description was accurate when asked by
a reporter while walking the red carpet in a video posted by Variety on
Monday. She agreed with that assessment, saying, ôI think witches are queer inherently just because we are outcasts and like, set aside for many
    reasons.ö

She continued, ôI think this show shows a really good representation of different types of people and that we can all use the power we have within to like, go forth and be great.ö

ôAgatha All Alongö is the follow-up to MarvelÆs ôWandaVisionö miniseries,
which debuted in 2021. The new iteration follows the character Agatha
Harkness (Kathryn Hahn), who was revealed to be a powerful sorceress.

ôThe infamous Agatha Harkness finds herself down and out of power after a suspicious goth Teen helps break her free from a distorted spell,ö the showÆs description on Disney+ says. ôHer interest is piqued when he begs her to take him on the legendary WitchesÆ Road, a magical gauntlet of trials that, if survived, rewards a witch with what theyÆre missing. Together, Agatha and
this mysterious Teen pull together a desperate coven, and set off down, down, down The Roadàö

The show is being touted for ôrepresentationö just weeks after the
cancellation of DisneyÆs series ôThe Acolyte,ö which was described as ôthe gayest æStar WarsÆ yet.ö Showrunner Leslye Headland bragged about how ôThe Acolyteö was ôcoded queerö and how she intended ôto allow her own personal experiences as a queer woman shine through in the finished product.ö

After disappointing viewership, the ôStar Warsö show was not renewed for a second season.

ôAgathaö star Zamata recently came out as a lesbian. ôIÆm out in my life and
I do keep my personal life kind of private, but I also donÆt necessarily want my identity to be private,ö the ôSNLö alum said during an interview for
ôThemö magazine that was published earlier this month. ôI guess IÆm one of those late-in-life lesbians. I just feel very comfortable and confident in my life.ö

ôAgatha All Along,ö premieres its first two episodes on Disney+ on September 18.
