NBA dreams while also dealing with the pressure of making his
parents proud. Starring Taylor Takahashi and Taylour Paige, the film
is scheduled to arrive in theaters on March 5, 2021. Check out the

Boogie tells the coming-of-age story of Alfred "Boogie" Chin, a
basketball phenom living in Queens, New York, who dreams of one day
playing in the NBA. While his parents pressure him to focus on
earning a scholarship to an elite college, Boogie must find a way to
navigate a new girlfriend, high school, on-court rivals and the
    burden of expectation.

The film stars Taylor Takahashi, Taylour Paige (Ma Rainey's Black
Bottom), Pamelyn Chee, Mike Moh, Jorge Lendeborg Jr. (Love Simon),
Alexa Mareka, Perry Yung, and late rapper Pop Smoke in his posthumous
    acting debut.

Boogie is written and directed by Eddie Huang, whose autobiography
titled Fresh Off the Boat: A Memoir was adapted into an ABC comedy
series that ran on-air for six seasons from 2015 to 2020. The film is produced by Josh Bratman, Josh McLaughlin, and Michael Tadross.

RIP Pop Smoke, I'm glad and surprised to see him in this movie. His last movie.
