One of the episodes of "Doctor Who' being repeated by Our ABC tonight
is 'Love and Monsters' where a group of weirdos is infiltrated by 'an ordinary man', Mr Skinner, 'obsessed with the Doctor joins a group of like-minded people hoping to meet the Time Lord in person'.
However, one of their members has a sinister motive and a harmless
hobby soon becomes a living nightmare. "Are you an absorbathon??"
Where does this 'ordinary man'/absorbathon originate from??

He is Bart Simpon's school principal. ;-P
Although in one episode it was revealed that he stole the "Seymour
Skinner" identity from someone else and his real name is actually
"Armin Tamzarian".

True, but he was related to ETs we’d seen before:
ROSE: Is it me or is he a bit Slitheen?
DOCTOR: Not from Raxacoricofallapatorius, are you?
VICTOR: No, I'm not. They're swine. I spit on them. I was born on
their twin planet.
DOCTOR: Really? What's the twin planet of Raxacoricofallapatorius?
VICTOR: Clom.
DOCTOR: Clom.
VICTOR: Clom. Yes

Still a terrible villain.
True. IMHO it would’ve been much better if RTD had understood and
gone with the OG version from the kid’s competition entry. Each
time the Absorbaloff absorbed someone, it should’ve grown bigger
and bigger until it was larger than a double-decker bus.
Imagine the scene. People fleeing in terror as the giant monster
strides towards them. But one man doesn’t flee. The Doctor,
standing his ground, facing the threat.
Much better than what RTD actually gave us.
