With or without Disney's involvement, the BBC are reportedly still
planning to make at least two more seasons of Doctor Who, but there
will be a year's hiatus as new episodes are written, filmed, and edited
ready for a likely 2027 release.
Doctor Who Will Continue...?
----------------------------
After months of rumours and speculation, it has been revealed
(according to The Daily Mirror newspaper) that Doctor Who will
continue on BBC One for further series beyond this year, but
fans may have to wait until 2027.
The Mirror reports that the series will return to BBC One for
future series, with Russell T Davies already working on
scripts for an additional two series, irrespective of whether
Disney decide to continue in their partnership with the BBC
beyond this series.
A source said to The Mirror:
"Whether or not Disney stays, the expectation is that
the show will continue. Yes, there will be a gap
while the scripts are finalised, the episodes are
filmed and the editing process takes place. But we'll
be back..."
A source added to the newspaper:
"When Doctor Who began its partnership with Disney+,
there was additional funding put in place. Doctor Who
is an expensive show to make, with its effects budget
taking up a significant part of the overall spend, so
if Disney were to withdraw its funding, then there
wouldn't be as significant an impact on production as
some fans may think. The TARDIS set is still standing
in Cardiff, all ready to go on new adventures."

They don't even have a new actor to play Doctor Whoke and RTD has
already written the scripts so there will be no course correction and
Doctor Whoke will still be gay, transgender, and a mass murdering
genocidal monster.
The ratings are going to sink to absolute zero.
