3 DC Animated Shows Announced, Includes Green Lantern & Starfire
    ----------------------------------------------------------------
DC Studios and Warner Bros. Animation have announced three new
    animated series.

With a number of DC Studios and DCU projects already in
development, James Gunn and Peter Safran have now announced that
three new animated projects are in the works: My Adventures with
Green Lantern, DC Super Powers, and Starfire.

All three shows will be "younger-skewing" animated series, per
Variety, that will be overseen by executive producer Sam Register.

What do we know about the new animated DC shows?
My Adventures with Green Lantern comes from executive producer
Jake Wyatt and co-executive producer Stephanie Gonzaga.

"My Adventures with Green Lantern will follow high school student
Jessica Cruz, who has her life upended when, according to an
official logline, a Green Lantern Power Ringáfalls from the sky
and chooses Cruz to be its champion," Variety's description reads.
"Things get even worse when more debris from the Lanterns' ancient
space war arrives - along with their alien foes."

DC Super Powers, meanwhile, is set within the Alliance School for
Heroes and follows Lightning, Flash, Plastic Man, Aquagirl, Green
Lantern, and Terra as they try to "level up their powers under the
supervision of Principal Martian Manhunter." That one comes from
executive producer Matt Beans and supervising producer Michael
    Chang.

Lastly, Starfire will focus on the popular Teen Titans character.
Josie Campbell is executive producing while Brianne Droughard
    serves as co-executive producer.

"The show follows her adventures after she uses an ancient
spaceship she discovers on her home planet of Tamaran to escape her
planet and explore the stars," the description reads. "Along the
way, she'll meet space biker Crush, plant-loving Fern, and the
magical Princess Amethyst of Gemworld and, together, they will
uncover the deepest reaches of the DC universe, save Space
Dolphins, surf technicolor nebulas, and boldly soar into the
    unknown."

Well, Space Dolphins are established in the DCU to give Lobo a likeable
trait, and the original run of Amethyst was different and interesting: a creditable try to make a comic "for girls" that didn't suck. Why Starfire needs a spaceship though is unclear.

FWIW, the Lego DC /Aquaman: Rage of Atlantis/ has Lobo and his Space
    Dolphin in it.

Maybe she needs the spaceship to store the stuff she picks up as she
    goes along, who can say?
