Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker may have just begun training
camp, but heÆs already in peak form as a far-right critic.

Butker took issue with a segment of the Paris OlympicsÆ opening ceremony
Friday that appeared to feature drag queens and others supposedly
reenacting ôThe Last Supperö - Leonardo da VinciÆs imagining of Jesus
ChristÆs final meal with his apostles before being crucified.

ôBe not deceived, God is not mocked,ö Butker wrote on social media,
quoting a Bible verse. He also shared a video clip of the act, one of many
that pushed boundaries in the ceremony along the Seine River. Another
interlude artistically depicted a mΘnage α trois.

ButkerÆs reaction probably shouldnÆt surprise anyone familiar with his
speech at the Benedictine College commencement in May. He ripped abortion rights, the LGBTQ+ community and diversity initiatives while also
suggesting that female graduates should be far more eager to become
homemakers than to pursue success in the workplace.

At that moment, Butker became a household name for Americans on the right
and left who were unaware of his exploits for his Super Bowl-winning
football team.
