     I slowed it down, but I still don't see what the Trick is.

    There may be a new way to perform this trick, but it looks similar to an
    old "thumb tip" trick called "Thumb Tie". Search the Internet for
    "thumb tip magic" for details.

    Thank you ... so the man must have a transparent plastic loop
    over which the Red adhesive tape wraps around.

    but now i have another, similar puzzle...

    this time, a man's thumbs are tied with a wire, but seems to
    be able to untie/retie instantly
    so that his arms are around a pole from the ground.

    There's another similar ribbon trick which relies on topology(?) rather
    than any props. It can be performed in a less obviously manipulative way
    than the video below indicates.
