had to show their work in detail, and I graded in detail (enough that on
one visit, ABET accreditors commented favorably on that point).
If a student did everything right but somehow got the wrong answer by
one tiny math mistake, they got almost full credit.
If a student got a wrong answer and did not adequately show their work,
they got no partial credit.
