On one of the news shows I heard that China has made a tariff deal with the US. I won't believe that until it is varified by the White House but this morning I got an add for a 3D printed saddle.

They were initially $28 and then after this tariff whoorah they went to $56. Then this morning there was an add for the same saddle for $17-$22. I would take this as a hint that a tariff deal had been set since China lost 90% of their market and Taiwan
picked it up. China simply could not go on with that for long.

But perhaps this was all upon rumors so we have to wait and see.

Yes China didn’t blink! So negotiations in Genova have largely reduced it back massively though still high and only for a 90 day period.

I’m sure Trump will spin it as win but this is US backing down as well
China didn’t blink, and has been politically strengthened by this, both internationally and nationally.

In that with the US support being unreliable countries have looked
elsewhere and nationally any problems can be blamed on Trump.

They notably didn't publicly list any real goals for the negotiations.
That way, they can claim victory no matter what the result.

OK, then I guess you don't understand that the US can tell other countries to stop doing business with
China ande make that 14% more than 50%. Funny thing, the world being protected by the US nuclear umbrella.

"oddly there are all these people who have said they saw what looked

mistakes are never made when anything new is invented. What would that
look like anyway? A laser beam or light beam coming down to Earth I
guess. Could that cause a fire? Hmmm, I don't know. I hope not! That
wouldn't look so good for PG&E, Rothschild Inc, Solaren or Jerry Brown
who sure does seem fond of PG&E."

    That's from your link BTW.

    3rd) Also from your link:
"Given that Greene did not directly state that "Jewish lasers" caused
the fires, but did speculate that laser beams somehow connected to the Rothschild investment firm were a cause, we rate this claim as a "Mixture.""

You can rush to her defense and claim she isn't an anti-semite, but that

OK, then I guess you don't understand that the US can tell other

I think I was clear that 'space lasers' is just nuts. But in
the specific incident she didn't write antisemitic remarks.

She does have a tawdry record of anti Jewish comments, but
this was not one of them.

Flunky is such a great electronics engineer that he doesn't even know how lazers work or the physics of energy and distance. There is a mild possibility that the US has hypersonic missiles in orbit but none at all that there are "spave lasers".

Nuclear war is virtually impossible as long as the US has the ability to obliterate any other country using them. Trump is already approaching Iran on thia subject. They are the only one's in the world trying to make a bomb. Israel could easily respond
by bombing Iran out of existance but the threat of US nuclear response is also there.

After Flunky said that he had an average speed of 20 mph so far this year you should understand exactly what his comments are worth.

And I am reather surprised that you didn't see that stupid 2, 200 mile rides that were up for a day before he realized what a transparent lie that was and erased them from Strava. Now it appears that low life is denying that he said that he had averaged
20 mph so far this year. This ass continyes with this because he is getting away with it.

a response to Tom, I usually just close it and go on to the next one

I usually pass on your posts that are a response to me, too. I don't

maybe, dishonest bureaucrats, media jackasses and tyrants.

Indeed, I have no reason to hate you or Krygowski. In fact I respect

Krygowski's posts are another thing. I enjoy seeing his attempts to

lasers" caused the fires, but did speculate that laser beams
somehow connected to the Rothschild investment firm were a
cause, we rate this claim as a "Mixture.""

You can rush to her defense and claim she isn't an anti-
semite, but that would be a hard sell for someone who has
posted and re-posted conspiracy theories that are at their
core antisemitic (blaming the rothchilds in this case).

Meanwhile, you give tommy's "the world being protected by
the US nuclear umbrella" a pass.

You're right, I don't know how lazers work. I've never heard of a lazer.

I do, however, know how lasers work and am much more well versed in the
physics of lasers than you are, mr "light lines".

There is a mild possibility that the US has hypersonic missiles in orbit but none at all that there are "spave lasers".

    <WHOOSH>

I posted the data. It's on Strava.

And I am reather surprised that you didn't see that stupid 2, 200 mile rides that were up for a day before he realized what a transparent lie that was and erased them from Strava.

You didn't see it there either, There are two reasons for that:
    1) they were never there to begin with
    2) you admitted to today that you can't log into Strava. If you can't
log into strava, you can't see ride data. - IOW, you're a fucking liar.

Now it appears that low life is denying that he said that he had averaged 20 mph so far this year.

Where did I write that? The Strava data is pretty clear.

This ass continyes with this because he is getting away with it.

I usually do get away with telling the truth.

Virtually ALL new drugs are developed in the USA. So if you don't want to buy them don't. I like the way you use the term "American equivalent" So rather than use the original developer of a drug, you wish to pretend that something made in China or India

I don't hate either of those two either and respect that they are still riding. But Krygowski is down ro ring nearly not at all (that is a normal thing from aging ande certainly don't begrudge him that) and Flunky simply does not use any normal

I went out today and did a little more than 25 miles in 30 mph wind. My average moving spoeed was a little over 11 mph. Everyone was straining in that wind and none of the Saturday ride group showed up but me. My speed on the way out was under 8 mph And
the was back was not dead downwind but quartering. So my speed matched what good average riders could do.

Why do you suppose that Flunky has a need to beat that when his virtual rides do not have any wind and are on a trainer? The people I ride with are cuttung back more and more over time. Several years I put in a million feet of climbing and only counted
the climbing that was over 5%. Last year I put in 6,500 miles and would have done better this year but for the stroke I would probably done the same. Instead I will do around 3800 miles.

I say this to show that I ride more than most people my age and almost perfectly fit the profile shown in ALL of the articles concerning age and average speed. You can simply take Flunky's claims for what they are.

If you were capable of intelligent and civilized discussion, you could
have given that link in your previous post. And you could have given it
in that latest post without tossing insults, given the fact that all I
    did was ask for information.

But since you lack that intelligence, you didn't notice the difference between your _present tense_ assertions ("we don't even need tropical hardwoods any more") and the futuristic speculation of the Techcrunch article.

More briefly: It's a laboratory process. They're hoping to scale it up,
but it does not exist as a commercial process now, or (probably) any
time soon. They gave no actual numbers on density, tensile strength,
impact strength or anything else. And like thousands of other futuristic ideas, maybe it will work someday, maybe it won't.

I predict there is no way it will ever come to "we don't even need
    tropical hardwoods any more."

You are strangely deficient in intelligence. Why should I, like Liebermann who really doesn't know anything, have a need to give referenced for everything I say. YOU most certainly do not.

What in the hell in wrong with you? The MAJOR problem in the Amazon River basin is the illegal cutting down of timber at rates FAR above what the regrowth is? Are you aware that US timber farms harvest only at replacement rates?

Is this something you don't care about? And no, there is no reason for us to use troipical hardwoods. All of the very high end furniture that used to be built in the US used entirely US woodstocks. Now just ONE of these chairs can sell for over $5,000.

John, do you REALLY think that China made a major concession only to turn back on it after more negotiations? China does NOT produce its own food requirements. It does NOT produce mostr of its high technology. They pretty much have to negotiate in good

    1) I didn't block you. I've never blocked anyone on my strava account.
It's another lie you're making up.

    2) There's no direct link to my identity on Strava. It's possible with a
little detective work, but that's well above your capability. If there
were direct linkage I would never have shared my strava account in this
    forum.

you admitted you have no access. That means you've been lying about

only worth a million dollars after 5 years.

Or better yet, tell everyone that a virtual ride is the same as a real ride slimeball.

    Why would I do that?

Because you presented a virtual ride as proof that you were averaging far higher speeds than someone with your age and riding skills could be expected under the best conditions to accomplish.

Gee, that's funny, because most of my riding partners show just as good
as, if not better numbers than I do on virtual rides. I'm not any better
than anyone I ride with, and even in the virtual races I don't win
against other riders in my age group. I do well, I'm far from DFL, but I
    don't win.

The data is all out there, dumbass. I don't know where you got the idea
that I'm claiming I'm doing anything spectacular or out of the ordinary

If you were capable of intelligent and civilized discussion, you could
have given that link in your previous post. And you could have given it
in that latest post without tossing insults, given the fact that all I
    did was ask for information.

But since you lack that intelligence, you didn't notice the difference
between your _present tense_ assertions ("we don't even need tropical
hardwoods any more") and the futuristic speculation of the Techcrunch
    article.

More briefly: It's a laboratory process. They're hoping to scale it up,
but it does not exist as a commercial process now, or (probably) any
time soon. They gave no actual numbers on density, tensile strength,
impact strength or anything else. And like thousands of other futuristic
ideas, maybe it will work someday, maybe it won't.

I predict there is no way it will ever come to "we don't even need
    tropical hardwoods any more."

You are strangely deficient in intelligence. Why should I, like Liebermann who really doesn't know anything, have a need to give referenced for everything I say.

    Because you're always wrong.

    YOU most certainly do not.

Frank lists links frequently, especially when he makes a claim as fact.

against other riders in my age group. I do well, I'm far from DFL, but I >>> don't win.

That?s what I saw when I compared you times with some of the folks I
    follow/Know.

Zwift seems particularly for amateurs quite a game changer for training.

It?s very much not my thing I ride for enjoyment the fitness that it is
just a by product, most of my riding buddies are by some margin fitter
though as this is often Gravel my MTB background means this isn?t a issue
unless there is a fast road section.

The data is all out there, dumbass. I don't know where you got the idea
that I'm claiming I'm doing anything spectacular or out of the ordinary
for "some one with my age and riding skills". I've never claimed that.

Your life, like poor Liebermann's has been little more than one lie after another.

Ah, yes, like how you were a "senior business consultant"? (or what ever >>> the fuck it was)

How you claim I blocked you from my strava account?

How you managed to turn a million dollar investment over 5 years into
    just a million dollar investment?

    how you helped discover HIV?

How you managed to design, build, test, and release some sort of
communication electronics for the space station in less than a year?

The list goes on and on for you. How you can go through life waking up
every morning know that everyone who knows you knows that your a
    complete fraud is beyond me.

Roger, I get the idea from your posts that you are middle aged and
haven't yet hit the sharp dip in performance that comes as you age. So
you're willing to believe Flunky even though all of the numbers I showed
    came directly from reliable sources.

He’s probably a decade or so older than me, but there are plenty of fast
guys in the club even in the 60+ range, plenty who don’t hang around in the 70’s.

Let alone I live in London which has a fairly strong roadie presence with
large and old clubs and so on.

And for him to be gaming the system is getting into conspiracy theories, as
he notes his riding mates would pull him up! It’s difficult to consistency fake stuff particularly when you come into contact with people you know,
let alone the anti cheating stuff that Strava and Zwift have.

I see no evidence or reason to be cynical and this strikes me a sour grapes
    on your part.

Thanks Roger. As I wrote earlier, the numbers I'm posting are far from spectacular, even for my age. At best I'd describe them as 'pretty good
for a guy my age'. I don't know where tommy gets the idea they're
spectacular - if it's that one link he posted, it's a primer for someone
with no experience on the subject or athletic base.

    This page is handy: https://zwiftinsider.com/rider-categorization-based-on-ftp-how-do-you-rank/
My FTP is about 3.25 - an average cat 4 - far from the "elite" numbers
    tom accuses me of posting.

But please use third hand medications made by questionable sources.

Brazil's Anvisa tests all imported drugs. So I know they are
safe. I don't know if the American equivalent can be trusted,
    though...

Flunky is so afraid of being identified that he cannot use his real name or the name of his company.

Now I can understand Shadow hiding his identity since it is a professional matter. No one wants to see their doctor arguing like a little girl. Or Catrike who is simply stating his interests. But Flunky is attempting to protect himself for many reasons -
not the least of which is that no company would employ a person who spends their entire day playing games on the internet.

Brazil has been a criminal right-wing dictatorship for 44 of
the last 61 years. Best to remain anonymous.
OTOH, you have nothing to fear. If the US does become a
dictatorship, you'll be there in the crowds wearing your communist-red
    hats cheering the dictators on.

No one wants to see their doctor arguing like a little girl.

LOL. I retired over a decade ago. I really couldn't care less
what people think. And 99% of my patients don't speak English. Nothing
