Actual "CYCLIST" here.. I've been cycling on an actual pedal
bike for 50+ years. Over that time, I've come to learn that
everyone hates anyone on a bicycle and that the only way to
combat that hatred is to be an ambassador for cycling by,
being courteous and obeying all of the rules. I've spent all
of this time acquiring the etiquette that allows me to
intertwine with vehicles and pedestrians and appear as
innocuous as I can. So, introduce E-bikes and the Nouveau
Cycliste and their new found luxury of a bike with a motor
offering them the ability to pretend to be actual cyclist.
They abuse all of the rules, have no sense of the etiquette
for which I speak and care about no one but themselves. I
hate them! I detest them! I don't acknowledge them! They are
the new menace to anyone who encounters them.
