It's nice to see aviation technology continue to evolve in the 21st century.

Replace traditional control surfaces with plasma through AFC

For a hundred years, aviation has followed the same rules. But DARPA's new invention is about to shatter everything. Without flaps, rudders, or
ailerons, this three-hundred-million-dollar marvel that looks like it flew straight out of a Star Wars movie uses compressed air to maneuver through
the sky, baffling radar operators. Could this be the game-changer in
aviation? If it works, what's stopping us from building real-life X-Wing fighters in the future?

The control surfaces are but a tiny fraction of a radar return and this
thing still has wings and vertical stabilizers, so the comment about
baffling radar operators is breathless nonsense.

BTW, plasma will have an enourmous radar return along with jamming any
radio of any kind on the aircraft.

Having an engine out with this control scheme means a smoking crater.

Just because something can be done does not mean it should be done, for
example a wing using the Magnus effect for lift.
