Hello,
MacCafe has been updated to version 3.02.1.
This version fixes a serious bug in v.3.02 which could make the Edit
menu unusable in certain circumstances. It also includes another bug fix
and some improvements. See the updated documentation for the full list
of changes (you may need to refresh the web page): ><http://yakakwatik.org/mc/documentation/en/tarrazu/>
To download the new version, please follow the link in my signature. To >install this version, simply replace the old MacCafe.app with the new
one.

Although development of 40Tude Dialog has been stopped for a long time, it >remains perfectly usable on recent versions of Windows. Its official site no >longer exists, but its very latest version has been carefully archived on the >French site Gratilog.net:

First download version 2.0.15.1 and install it.
Then download version 2.0.15.84 (link under the description). The ZIP obtained
contains only the updated EXE file, which must be pasted into the installation
folder, replacing the old one.

There you will find (functional) download links, a FAQ and above all a copious >list of scripts allowing you to add features to 40Tude Dialog.
Attention
Some of these scripts may not work, and some need an additional library, available at the bottom of the Downloads page.

Thanks for reminding me of a web page I wrote. ;-)
Yes, 40Tude Dialog is a highly recommendable newsreader. But it runs on >Windows, while MacCafe is specifically designed for macOS.
It should also be noted that Pan can be installed on macOS using either https://brew.sh or https://www.macports.org.
There used to be a Windows build but I can't find it now.

I searched for Pan on Homebrew a while ago, but couldn't find it. Either
I searched badly, or its addition is recent:

The most stable news reader I have used for thirty years is the now
defunct Forte Agent. I have used it on Windows, Linux w/ WINE and
Crossover on Mac_OS.

I will mention it on my page. Thanks for the information!
I'm not familiar with MacPorts, I should try it when I have time.
There used to be a Windows build but I can't find it now.
I found this:

I tested Pan on Windows a few years ago and found it very unstable. That said, Pan also doesn't work very well on my laptop running Ubuntu. I
think this newsreader doesn't like me. ;-)
I will mention it on my page. Thanks for the information!
