    File Menu
From the File Menu you can Import & Export messages, create folders where
you can archive old but interesting messages, save attachments, and even >change the location on your computer where messages are stored.
    Export Selected Articles
Allows you to save selected messages as a text file, for instance so
that they can be loaded into other programs.
The text file is formatted according to RFC-822. It therefore contains
the first message's header lines; a blank line; the first message's body lines; a dot on a line on its own; the second message's header lines, etc.
    Import Articles
Import articles from a text file. XanaNews expects the text file to be in RFC-822 format.
    Export Compressed Messages
When you select this, XanaNews displays a separate form, which allows you
to select which groups you want to export, and the file you want to export them to.
The form contains an additional option that allows you to save XanaNews' settings along with the messages. This makes it easy to move your message base and settings from one computer to another in a single file.
XanaNews exports compressed messages in the proprietary '.xns' format.
    Import Compressed Messages
Load messages that were exported into an 'XNS' file. If the 'XNS' file contains XanaNews settings, the settings are exported too.
    Save Article as HTML
Convert an article to HTML format and save it - so that it can be incorporated into a web page or Blog.
Additionally, the message pane right-click Popup Menu contains an option
to save an article to the clipboard in HTML format.
    New Archived Message Folder
    Rename Archived Message Folder
    Delete Archived Message Folder
    Empty Archived Message Folder
    Re-Index Archived Message Folder
The functions allow you to add, rename, delete, empty and re-index
    Archived Message Folders
Note that re-indexing archived message folders is not normally required.
It may be used if the archived folder becomes corrupted.
Find Folder Message in Message Base
Select this option when an archives message is selected. XanaNews will attempt to find the same message in its message base, so you can see it
    in its threaded view.
    Reload Selected Messages from Folder
Copies the selected messages in an archived messages folder to the
original position in the message base.
    Reload All Messages from Folder

    your printer.

By default messages are stored in a local application data folder.
Typically this is "c:\Documents and Settings\<your name>\Local Settings \Application Data\Woozle\XanaNews", and is the best place for it. It
allows several people to use your computer - each with separate XanaNews settings and messages.
    Exit
Close XanaNews. If you have the Show in System Tray setting enabled,
XanaNews will be minimized to the system tray and will continue to run. Otherwise it will be terminated.

    Group Multipart Messages
When Group Multipart Messages is selected, XanaNews displays messages chronologically, sorted by subject. It detects multipart attachments (attachments that should be built up by combining several messages),
and displays these in a tree, with the first message at the root, and subsequent messages for the same attachment as children.
To combine, decode and save a complete attachment when 'Group Multipart Messages' is selected:
*Make sure you have downloaded all the multipart message bodies. If not,
select the thread and choose 'Get Thread Message Bodies' from the
    message tree right-click popup menu.
*Select the first message (the root one).
*Do File/Save Attachment (F2). The messages will be combined and the
    attachment will be saved.
If you need to adjust the order of messages before they are combined,
use the Combine & Decode Selected Messages option instead.

the group is selected, read messages still remain until you exit and
    re-enter the group.

    Show Bookmark Pane (Ctrl+B)
The Bookmark Pane appears between the message tree and the message pane
when you select this option, and the Bookmark menu is enabled.
This option is automatically selected when you select 'Search to
    Bookmark' when searching for messages.

Show Secret Accounts & Newsgroups (T)
Accounts and Newsgroups can both be marked as Secret in Account
    Properties and Newsgroup Properties.
Secret accounts and newsgroups don't show up when you first start
XanaNews. You can show them by pressing 'T' and instantly hide them
again by giving it another press.
