• I guess my filters are OK

From Chris Schram@21:1/5 to All on Thu Apr 10 23:37:51 2025
A moment ago my Pan newsreader informed me that misc.phone.mobile.iphone
had 36 messages waiting for me to read. When I clicked on it, there were
no messages at all to see. My filters must be working just fine.

    Have a nice day.

Why do you think that could be of interest to anybody?
Intelligent people would unsubcribe the group.

Why would your newsreader tell you there are unread messages available
if you've set up filters to block messages? Shouldn't those messages
be ignored by the newsreader and not included in the total unread? My newsreader works that way. Surely you have an option to mark the
filtered messages as read or ignored. I would assume even newsreaders
like Xnews which use scoring files do the same.

    The same applies to Thunderbird.
