Did Pendejo-47 just make it easier for me to get my car repaired?
I had an intermittent temperature sensor issue in my tranny, whereas the 'Service Engine' light would come on when I started the car in cold
weather. I had my local shop run a diagnostic, and that revealed the
exact location of the failing part. However my local shop could not
obtain the part, so they referred me to a tranny shop in a nearby city,
who also could not order the part.
I called two dealerships, both of which were several hours from my home.
Both told me they could perform the repair, but needed to run the
diagnostic themselves. I explained that the problem was intermittent,
and after being on the road for some hours, the diagnostic would show no problem.
At that point I sent a rude letter to the automaker, and traded the car
in on a more reliable make.
