    Abusing the federal authority will be met with criminal penalties, all
    the way up to DJT if he permits it. Jack Smith was doing a rather
    thankless job. Sure, left-wingers supported him, but that's only
    worth so much. If the new administration intends to treat the law as
    a suggestion, they are opening the door directly to their own
    condemnation.
