• MEDIA: 'One Billion Americans' Author Matthew Yglesias: Trump's Border

    From John D Groenveld@21:1/5 to All on Fri Apr 11 11:41:24 2025
Via Breitbart Immigration, Breitbart.COM/immigration, see Neil Munro
on whether Donald Trump has ordered Susie Wiles to share with Peter
Thiel's VP JD Vance Trump's MAGA marketing research gathered by Wiles
(and Bill Stepien before her (and Brad Parscale before him)) and
what it reveals about legacy American proles' preferences for or
against importing 766M new Americans: <URL:https://www.breitbart.com/immigration/2025/03/26/one-billion-americans-author-says-more-migration-is-political-poison/>
    | "It's hubris and hubris leads to nemesis, and how about we not do
    | that?" Krikorian added.
    |
    | Breitbart has extensively covered the damage done by the various
    | white-collar visa programs -- such as the mixed-skill H-1B program
    | -- to Yglesias' university peers, to the nation's productivity, and
    | to business innovation.
    |
    | Instead of recognizing this damage, Yglesias blames the 2024 defeat
    | on the Democrats' efforts to trick the Republicans into endorsing
    | the "Gang of Eight" bill in 2013:
    |
    || But the ultimate legacy [of the deception] was to mislead
    || Democrats about the actual politics [of migration], which isn't that
    || voters hate all immigrants or want to see immigration ended, but is
    || that people worry a lot about the downsides of being too lax. And
    || unfortunately for Democrats, the advocacy groups they outsourced
    || their immigration policy thinking to are very anchored in the
    || community of immigration lawyers and in broad progressive skepticism
    || of law enforcement. It's not just that those voices can push fairly
    || extreme positions, it's that they don't really have a coherent
    || account of why immigration is good that is persuasive to most
    || American voters [emphasis added].

Will Trump attempt to enlist Thiel's VP to serve as Trump's Deputy Chief
Sales Critter for Trump's bipartisan, comprehensive, merit-based,
immigration reform legislative legacy authored by the Cheap Labor
Lobby and passed by Mike Johnson's House.GOV and John Thune's Senate.GOV
and does Wiles foresee a GOP.COM striver with a financier will to fund
an outflank of Trump-Vance with an immigration moratorium stump speech?

"This hasn't been going on for months or even weeks... the carveouts
haven't happened yet. This is the first step, the next step is to
keep up the fight to make sure it includes student visas, H1bs, and
    H2bs" - Ryan Girdusky <URL:https://twitter.com/RyanGirdusky/status/1252448203888263168>
