A 41-year-old man was charged Wednesday with attempting to meet a 13-year-
old girl for sex in San Clemente.

Damian Hernandez-Guzman was charged with contacting a minor with the
intent to commit a sex offense, meeting a minor to commit lewd conduct, distributing pornography to a minor with the intent to engage in sexual
conduct and attempted lewd act on a child younger than 14, all felonies.

Orange County SheriffÆs Department deputies were dispatched Friday to the
900 block of South El Camino Real in San Clemente regarding the incident.

An ôinformantö showed deputies information that indicated the defendant
was meeting a minor for sex acts, deputies said.

The defendant did not enter a plea at his Wednesday arraignment in the
jail courtroom in Santa Ana. He is scheduled to be arraigned March 5 in
the Harbor Justice Center in Newport Beach.
