I've already requested access to the corresponding team and opened an MR for updating multipath-tools to the current upstream version (a next one is already being prepared).

I am a DD, so I can also add myself to uploaders and/or do uploads if desired ;)

From my PoV, please just go ahead with uploads. I hope Ritesh can
give you write access to the git repo on salsa.
