I've been Hamilton's supporter since he joined F1.
On the other side I never liked Ferrari much.
So, this is a bit strange situation for me. I like him, but red car is
not my favorite.
How to deal with this? Any thoughts?

Any team that can boast Niki Lauda and Michael Schumacher can't be all bad.
I feel the same but, as I mentioned in another post Ferrari seems... more likeable since Fred
Vasseur stamped his mark on the team. I Like Fred (he's self-effacing, something almost unheard of
in a Ferrari team principle) and he's fundamentally changed the team IMO.
I've got a good friend who feels the exact same way as you, except he
HATES Ferrari. He's said he's cheering for McLaren this year but doesn't
want to pick a driver.
I have mild preferences in the same directions, but no really strong
fannish feelings. So it's easy for me to wish Hamilton well, and if as
a result Ferrari beats Red Bull that's just fine.
I’ve been a Hamilton fan ever since I watched him trounce the opposition in >an event at the Rye House kart track when he was about 13. I would love to >see him win that eighth title and I don’t much care what car he does it in.
Sadly, I don’t think this very likely.

For some of us, the jury is still out on Michael Schumacher. It's hard
to forget/forgive some of his more outrageous moves, taking out
opponents or his park job at Monaco to prevent anyone from beating his
to pole.

Hate is too strong feeling for sports. If I don't like someone in
sports, I really don't have any reason to hate them.
I broadly agree, although the exception to the rule is Christian Horner.
That guy is a real prick...

I have to ask:
What did the "red car" ever do to upset you?
I seriously don't get this part of human nature.
