Alan B. refuses to answer a question about why so few drivers, including Alan, failed to even show up for races this year. Here are some statistics:
Season Championship Statistics, 2018-2024 SCCBC Formula F Racing
https://www.sccbc.net/racers/club-championship/
Season Totals/Counts 2018 2019 2021* 2022 2023 2024
Total Entering** 9 10 13 13 14 10
Total Points Awarded 887 896 459 667 1028 454
Points/Driver 98.6 89.6 35.3 51.3 73.4 45.4
Count of Points Awards 98 108 53 79 121 50
*Only 5 of normal 7 race weekends and no points awarded in June - COVID
** All drivers entering at least 1 race during the season, even if no
points were awarded.
Points were not awarded in 2020 - COVID
The last item is a count of all instances of points being awarded for
all FF class races, all drivers. Does not include instances of DNS, DNF,
DQ. The low 2024 and 2021 numbers indicate a sparse matrix of race
results by points awarded, thus inconsistent driver participation across
the season's races.
2024 is comparable to 2021 when first 2 races were canceled and the
first one held in June had no season points awarded.
Particularly notable is the 2023-2024 drop in total points and count of
all season points awards.
I have statistics for all open wheel classes and they show a similar
pattern, but not as extreme.
2024 compared to 2023:
Drivers entered 37 drops to 35
Total points awarded 2530 drops to 1954
Points per driver entry drops from 68.4 to 46.9
Of course the total includes Formula F so the other classes in total did
no drop as much as Formula F.
So Alan, what is it? Economic malaise? Drivers aging out? Mission
Raceway management causing issues with SCCBC? General lack of interest? Other? All the above?
Here's a guess on the answer, if there is one - Alan will defame me and refuse to answer.
Of course, since he rarely shows up to race anymore he just may not even
know the answer. Given this year's lack of participation I think he just
does not care or has some major personal issues going on. This was a
season ripe for Alan picking up a club championship.

You believe whatever you need to believe.
Again, Liar Alan dodges anything substantive.
