GOG reports* that "Fallout: London" has become the most redeemed
freebie they've offered on their website. This may not be the highest
bar to clear, though, since a lot of the freebies GOG has offered in
the past haven't been the best of games. Still, it is an indication of
how excited gamers have been about this free mod. 500,000 people
grabbed the mod in the first 24 hours.

And it's obviously paid off well for GOG too, since "Fallout 4 GOTY"
--needed to play the mod-- now ranks at the top of the GOG's
best-seller list too. Considering the only cost to GOG was for hosting
the files and some fairly inexpensive web-design for the store-page,
that's a good return on investment.

Plus, I'm sure that more than a few people went to GOG for the mod,
and ended up buying something else. Just getting people to create a
GOG account (which was required to download "Fallout London") was a
huge win for GOG.com, since the intial onboarding of new customers is
    the hardest part.

So congratulations to both the "Fallout: London" dev-team (FOLON) and
GOG alike. It looks like it worked out well for the both of you.

Wow! Also worked out quite well for Bethesda with all those new sales
of Fallout 4. Despite them seemingly having tried to impede the mod
with their suspiciously close update out of nowhere that broke their mod.

I never got the DLCs on the Steam version so I'll end up buying Fo4 GotY
from GOG as well when I get around to it. London looks great, so it'll probably be sooner rather than later. I've got Demon Souls, Weird West,
and the big one that will keep me busy a long time, EDF 6 to finish first.
