    Right. ;)

    * Fallout Classic Collection https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/bundles/fallout-classic-collection
Just in case you somehow (!) haven't managed to get this
games yet, here's another chance: this collection includes
the original Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout: Brotherhood of
Steel (but if you've been a regular to these posts, you
probably nabbed them on Epic back in December 2022). Ehn.
They're good games, I guess, but they haven't aged all
that well and they're such common freebies that its hard
to get excited about them anymore.

I'm still a Fallout virgin so this is might chance, but when will I play
them? Will I enjoy them? :P

    * Wild Card Football
    https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/wild-card-football
It's American football, in case you were wondering. I
suppose if you're into the game, this isn't a bad title
with some good visuals and competent mechanics. But keep
in mind it's far more arcade than sim game, with power-ups
and quick action as the primary focus. Unfortunately,
it's marred by requiring an always-online connection and
has a lot of MTX. It's got a number of bugs too. It's a
game that COULD have been great, I think, if they hadn't
    gotten so greedy.

Hmm, it looks different. I will take it.

I'm not sure it was worth the effort. Well, at least I don't have to
worry about doing it again for another seven days...

    Hopefully, forever! ;)

I'll be surprised if they didn't mess up this collection. Seems like
every "classic collection" has some issues nowadays.

I mean, I don't want to denigrate the original Fallout games. They're considered classics for good reason. But more than many other games,
    they feel /old/.

The apocalypse just ain't what it used to be.

But "Fallout" looks so much like a modern isometric CRPG that it's
foibles --its grainy visuals, its uneven difficulty, its shallow

was a game released almost three decades ago!"* I still bump into this incongruity.

I have played FO:2 for quite a few hours with some mod's including a
high res. one. Even then it does feel old if I compare it to the
enhanced editions of say Baldur's Gate or Planescape:Torment which are
of a similar age. Part of that is possibly down to the UI in the latter
games isn't that dissimilar to what became the norm whereas I've found
    FO:2 rather clunky and non-intuitive.
