"Sweet Baby Inc. is a Canadian narrative development and consultation
studio based in Montreal, founded in 2018 by former Ubisoft
    developers"
    .... wait....
... isn't "controlling the narrative" exactly what the woke is
against? At least when they can spin it in their favor?

So they founded an entire company so they could "control the
    narrative".

How's that working out for them?

Almost like how Spalls wants to talk politics until he doesn't.
Apparently controlling the narrative is fun?

Luckily I give fuck all about story, I care about gameplay.

In tactical shooters, bots that are actual competition to good players
have yet to be invented (without cheating), so the only real
competition out there is other humans. I like that dynamic. Instead
of just totally dominating my opponent (which will most likely make
them rage quit if they are a millenial or less, because of
snowflakism), I have the option of baiting them out for a painful and humiliating death if they're a prick who thinks they're hot shit...

..or if I feel like they're worth saving, intentionally letting them
get the best of me just enough to help slowly watch their skill and
confidence develop, and then enjoying the moments where they get up to
speed and legitimately beat me, knowing I made them better as a
    player.

..or in the cases where I'm totally off my game, going into a server
and completely getting my ass handed to me. But not bitching or rage
quitting about it, using it as an opportunity to understand where I'm
going wrong, engaging the problem solver in me and fending off future alzheimers or whatever (lol). And telling someone "nicely done" when
they legitimitely excercise superior skill. And then making sure it
    doesn't happen again :)

That, my friends is "game". I'm so sorry the woke movement has tried
to turn every game into a situation of "mommy tell me a story".
Stories are fine but we've had movies for that (which do it better)
for decade. So whenever some company decides to make a career out of "narrative development" you can be pretty certain it's some cunt who
wants to force her own political agenda down your throat and make you
    her bitch.

I just wanted to chime in that the bots for Counterstrike can have
their difficulty turned up to make them a challenge.

(At least, they were challenging to me when I was playing -- maybe I'm
    a lightweight.)

Sure, but the concept of difficulty, as it applies to bots or computer opponents, is no where near approaching the level of complexity of
human reaction and adaptation to situations. One of the joys of
multiplayer is seeing your enemy adapt their tactics once their
existing approach fails them, staying a step ahead of them, etc.

Bots, at their very best, have a certain level of cyclomatic
complexity in their scripting, but the cyclomatic complexity of human
emotion remains unmatched in digital form.
