Look, I know this game isn't all that exciting, and you
all probably have a dozen copies in your library already ZY5LZ
because it's been given away so often. Why do you think I
have a free copy to spare? And it's not like this is a 8LLY6
terrible game; it's just targeted at a very select audience.
Maybe you're part of that audience; maybe you're not.J6PFD
Either way, it's a game waiting for a loving home. You've
got a home, haven't you? Show this game some love!
* Arcade Paradise

I'm a bit more sanguine about this game, even if I myself PYE07
didn't enjoy it that much. But that's less a condemnation
of the game itself and more because I just don't have a
loving nostalgia for the old arcade games and halls of yore.
But I think this game does a great job of trying to recapture
that era, both with the overall feel and atmosphere of the
game, and with its arcade-game recreations. If you look 33THX
fondly back at those quarter-munching machines, this game
will probably have some appeal. Me, I mostly remember that
time for its uncomfortably sticky floors.LXBAZ
Side note:
I just realized that I fucked up my scheduling for these games; these
were supposed to go out on the 11th. In fact, I've been giving away
games one day early ever since Dec 3 ("Dishonored 2" was supposed to
be given away on the 4th, and not together with "Blade of Darkness").
Now there's a gap in the schedule.
Now I have to figure out if I'm gonna skip a day, or move games from a
later date to an earlier one to make up the deficit. I hope I don't
have to take them out of the selection for Christmas Day. I always
like ending the Give-Away with a bang. We'll see what happens, but if
there just /happens/ to be a gap in the give-aways tomorrow, now
you'll know why.
<sigh>
TL;DR: Spreadsheets (and keeping to a schedule) are hard. ;-)
On a less stupid note:
Happy Doom Day, everybody!
Be sure to fire up at least one of the Doom games today and frag an
imp or two. It's the best way to celebrate the holiday! All praise our
lord and savior, DoomGuy, and a blessed rippentear to you all!
Ho-ho-ho!
But you knew I was going to say that. I ALWAYS say that. It's like my catch-phrase or something. I should trademark it.
We got more games again. Because of course we do. That's almost a
trademark for me too. Man, I could be rich in trademarks if I put my
mind to it.
So, will you like these games? Well... they're free. That's always a
plus. They make The Number go up. That's good too. Beyond that, I make
no promises. ;-)

nice, but boring? It's not even an action game. Pass!

The good news is.... every type of game is Spalls type of game so I
think he will eventually post something that will interest you. Just
keep checking.
What spreadsheet program are you using?

probably
LibreOffice Calc, actually. I weaned myself off Microsoft Office some
years ago. While (still!) a bit rough around the edges, it's a nearly feature-complete competitor to Microsoft's product and does everything
I need it to. I've migrated quite a few people (and even a few
workplaces!) to the platform. For most use-cases, it's more than
sufficient for what is required. The few areas where the compatibility
or features are insufficient are rarely an issue for most 'normal
people'.

Nice! I also use the LO suite.
