I'm guessing it's this free weekend, which happened in July, is what

Nonsense. Spalls never gets this kind of thing wrong. He has a
spreadsheet.
Show us this spreadsheet please. ;)

It's a miserable week but maybe we can cheer ourselves a free game.
But where oh where to find one? Oh, I know; let's all go look at Epic
and see if they have something. What, they do? What a coincidence.
* Deceive, Inc.
https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/deceive-inc
James Bond (spies!) crossed with Hitman (disguises)
by way of "No One Lives Forever" (humor) and "The
Ship" (multiplayer). Sneak into installations, disguise
yourself as anyone, and exfiltrate with the secrets...
before anyone else beats you to the punch. An
interesting idea whose implementation doesn't seem up
to the task.
This is another duplicate, first offered by Epic in
July of this year, so you may already have it in your
library. I guess Fortnite money must be running low
if they're recycling freebies this quickly.
Bummer; no new game for me. I guess this will be a awful week after
all. But maybe next week will be better (at least on the free game
front. See you in seven days!

Huh? I somehow never claimed this game!

Oh wait. I remember playing its free Steam weekend. I remember not
liking it.

Apologies. It was a freebie on Epic... but it was given away through
Amazon Prime.

I do! ;-)
But since all I record is wat service the game is on, and whether I
paid for it or not, it sort of gets hard to keep track of all these
freebies. I ought to add a column indicating the source of the
freebies if not the service itself.
Why must collecting thousands of free games require such effort?!?!?
