Peace and quiet! - Isn't it a bright blessing that comp.os.vms is SPAM
free, now that Google has exited the Newsgroups building?

I use the Eternal September feed for Thunderbird, and also a parallel NewsGroupDirect (NGD) Feed in my venerable Forte Agent, for comparison purposes.

I disabled all Kill Filters in Agent, to check that there is in fact
no SPAM via NGD, since the Eternal September feed does such a good job filtering SPAM.

I have not detected any differences in the two feeds, and I like to
keep my NGD feed, since their retentions go way back.

Is that other comp.os.vms collegiates experience? - in comp.os.vms and
    other text discussion newsgroups?

comp.os.vms is back to pure signal (other than the occasional
dickering as to what constitues signal :-) )

    A bright blessing, indeed.

Sadly, Giganews hasn't eradicated all the spam that was posted by those minions, so there are hundreds of thousands of them still in the group
sticking up my reader. But not having more of it posted is still very
    nice.

GN's oldest cov post seems to be from 2003.
