Bonita Montero,
Why are there duplicate fonts with an "@" at the beginning ?
Based on a quick websearch it seems that there are two different, not
related to each other, parts to the question and thus answer :
1)
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/api/wingdi/nf-wingdi-enumfontfamiliesexw
[quote]
Note, based on the values of lfCharSet and lfFaceName, EnumFontFamiliesEx
will enumerate the same font as many times as there are distinct character
sets in the font. This can create an extensive list of fonts which can be burdensome to a user.
For example, the Century Schoolbook font can appear for the Baltic, Western, Greek, Turkish, and Cyrillic character sets.

2)
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/11253827/too-many-fonts-when-enumerating-with-enumfontfamiliesex-function
"Like all the ones with a @ in front of it. Fonts that support vertical
text."

I did not look further.
