    Actually, I was making three different points, but you understood I'm sure.

    1. The Apple trolls are desperate to claim that their herd decision is affirmed - which is why they *love* these market machinations.

    2. Having appreciably less than half the market share (for that
    quarter), is not "dominating" the market - it's just a bigger share
    than Samsung.

    3. I fully get it that it's a *much bigger share" than Samsung; but all these "Apple dominates the market" stats are not fair to the platform.

    But you knew all that.

    What others may not know is Apple's share is decided puny when you count "tablets" (as there are many tablets - which Apple trolls don't know).

    Honestly I don't think I've seen a tablet other than an iPad being
    used by
    anyone.

    That's interesting because Apple's share of tablets is miniscule actually.

    "Miniscule [sic]"?

    Really?

    <https://gs.statcounter.com/vendor-market-share/tablet/worldwide>

    I'll just leave this here for everyone who has the balls not to hide.

    Don't confuse Arlen with facts. He gets dizzy from spinning so fast around facts.

    BTW, Apple is even more dominant in the U.S.:

    One can only wonder how Arlen will attempt to spin this fact.

    It’sbeen two weeks. I don’t see any attempt at answering. If I missed something, no doubt Arlen will say something.

    FACTS:

    To get the facts, I just asked AI which tablet "dominates" the market.
    <https://i.postimg.cc/L6VD9fz4/tablet-market-share.jpg>

    "When looking for up-to-date statistics on tablet operating system
    market share, Statcounter is a very valuable resource.
    Here's a breakdown based on their information:

    Key Players:
    The tablet market is primarily dominated by
    iOS (iPadOS) and Android.

    Statcounter's Data:
    According to Statcounter Global Stats, as of January 2025:
    iOS holds approximately 52.85% of the worldwide tablet market share.

    Android holds approximately 46.99% of the worldwide tablet
    market share.

    This shows that the two main operating systems are very close
    in market share.

    Other Operating Systems:
    Other operating systems, such as Linux and Windows,
    hold very small percentages of the tablet market.

    Therefore, according to the most recent data available from Statcounter,
    iOS and Android are the dominant forces in the tablet market, with iOS currently holding a slight lead."

    Honestly I don't think I've seen a tablet other than an iPad being used by anyone.

    That's interesting because Apple's share of tablets is miniscule actually.

    They're sold everywhere (and I have plenty of non-Apple tablets myself):
    <https://www.amazon.com/s?k=tablet>
    <https://www.costco.com/tablet-computers-accessories.html>
    <https://business.walmart.com/browse/ipads-tablets/4306450_6175436>

    There are more than just iOS & Android tablets too; but they're discussed
    on the Android newsgroup (e.g., Amazon Fire tablets & Chrome OS tablets).
    <https://duckduckgo.com/?q=buy+tabletablet>

    iPads are used at medical offices for check-ins and by the staff
    for various functions. They're used at small businesses as a check out and payment processor. They're used at schools and even given to students for free. And many other places too, not to mention owned privately by people sitting on couches.

    The sad reality is, outside of Apple's (brilliant) propaganda, Apple's puny share of the tablet market is due to Apple's tablets sucking in capability.

    Never will you see an honest review put any Apple tablet as more functional than any Android tablet, for example, simply because iOS sucks at that.
    The Best Tablets to Gift From Walmart
    <https://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/g45737206/the-best-tablets-to-gift-from-walmart/>

    Where are non-iPad tablets used?

    I have plenty but the fact that Apple tablets can *never* win an honest functionality test is an indication why Apple's market share is so puny.

    Do you need me to list some of the basic functionality that is missing from those expensive iPads? Remember, I use both platforms every single day.

    In summary, it's complete bullshit the headline of this article, but I get
    it that if you cherry pick the numbers, you can claim Apple dominates.

    But the fact is that Apple's share of the tablet market is pitifully small.
