    have no plan to replace it.

    Very old is a bit subjective.. I got an ipad mini 2 back in 2012 or so..
    but after about 8 years the battery stopped working and instead of
    replacing the battery they replaced the entire device, so I have a
    replacement ipad mini 2. It's an old model, but it's not physically old
    because it got replaced with a new one about 4 years ago.

    Yep, our iPad Pro is around that age too. Still works perfectly well
    for what it is needed to do (email, basic websites, a couple of simple
    games).

    We still have the original 1st generation iPad (not the Air) as well as
    a 2nd generation iPad in this household, both in great condition.

    Yep, our iPad Pro is around that age too. Still works perfectly well for
    what it is needed to do (email, basic websites, a couple of simple games).


    I wrongly wrote OS17, when that should have been OS16.
    It's currently updating to 16.7.9.

    Like yourself, I use it for very ordinary things; lots of ebooks, email,
    games. The 128GB memory gives it staying power.

    That's newer than iPad Air 1 gen. It can only go up to iOS v12.5.7. ;)

    We used to use one o the other to play games when out of the house. But
    now that we have a 9th generation iPad, they don't get as much use.

    I have a couple of Air 2s that still work fine. A bit slow, but fine. One is 16GB and the other is 128GB. Both are on 15.8.2 and are only 1 year newer than the Air 1.

    10 years old and still working fine. And both on original batteries.

    Nothing really. The browser is hopelessly slow with modern sites and most apps have stopped working. I think there's a handful of games.

    I mostly turn it on to check it works and reminisce on how simple it used
    to be. Settings app, for example, nowadays is horrendous.
