When I try to copy files from Linux Mint 21.3 (Ubuntu 22.04)
to my Xioumi M9 cellphone it returns this error message:

"libmtp error: Could not send object info."

The mtp files installed on Linux are:

    libmtp-common
    libmtp-runtime
    libmtpg
    libnet-smtp-ssl-perl

It worked a month ago (?)

    Any suggestions?

On occasion I could not fetch files from the phone using Thunar.
Typically I then try with Nautilus or Dolphin, and it works.

Once none worked. Turned out that the usb connection had been captured
by shotwell, who thought it had to handle the camera.

I had the opposite problem - I was trying to import photos into digiKam and some file manager (Dolphin?) had already grabbed the USB session.

Turned out that I needed to kill 'kiod5' which was the process that grabbed the port, and then digiKam worked.
