So I do an update of Debian Sid, and it starts updating initrd images, and continues, continues, continues.... 25 kernels from 6.10.11 to 6.12.27.
Purged 22 of them. FTS. FFS.

So which kernel is it using? Fedora is 6.14.6 and has 7 old ones hanging around.

Move your ass over to Gentoo, where all updates are totally in your
control.
No more surprises. No more doubts. (And no one to blame but yourself.)
It's a bit of a shock at first, but once acclimatized the user will
have found paradise.

I've already installed Gentoo, two different occasions, years ago.
It's fine, but I prefer Arch and Debian these days.

Any Linux distro is paradise compared to Windows.
