• Need Help. Glxgears

    From Farley Flud@21:1/5 to All on Mon Feb 24 20:45:07 2025
    Hey advocates! (I use that term loosely. Ha, ha, ha!)

    Can you please (sic) run glxgears on your machine and report
    the results. I need some data for comparison.

    The command (from a terminal) is simple:

    __GL_SYNC_TO_VBLANK=0 glxgears -fullscreen

    This will prevent glxgears from syncing to the vertical blank
    rate which is constant. The command allows the absolute
    performance of the vid card, at full screen, to be measured.

    My new Xeon W-1270P, with an Nvidia TU160, reports 54K screens
    per second at 2K resolution per screen.

    C'mon lackeys, report.

    If you cannot accomplish a simple terminal command line then
    maybe your GNOME/KDE offers a "Binky the Clown" button for your
    convenience.

    Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!
