But, same as before with 6.14-rc1 -- couldn't get the NVIDIA drivers to
build. Even tried the latest beta drivers.

So, I'm still running Linux 6.13.2 -- and keeping my eye out for updates
    to the GPU drivers.

    Running it now.

NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-570.86.16 drivers on the MIT/GPL branch.

Someone (leigh123linux) posted the fix to the NVIDIA forum in this thread:

    https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/t/570-release-feedback-discussion/321956/70?u=scott-nv

    And I quote:
    _ _ _ _ _ _ _
comment out or remove this line in nvidia-drm/nvidia-drm-drv.c

    . date = “20160202”,
    _ _ _ _ _ _ _

This approach is clearly superior to simply downloading the driver and double-clicking the executable file. Glory be to Linux.

Seriously though, anyone with an NVIDIA chip should refrain from using
Linux. Until they open-source the drivers, it's a mess.
