• PowerShell Is A Literal Waste Of Time

From Lawrence D'Oliveiro@21:1/5 to All on Thu Dec 26 20:43:11 2024
Was amused by this article entitled “How to install and use
Microsoft's PowerShell on Linux (and why you should)” <https://www.zdnet.com/article/how-to-install-and-use-microsofts-powershell-on-linux-and-why-you-should/>.
It spends so much time describing Microsoft’s convoluted installation mechanisms for several common Linux distros, that it never actually
gets around to answering the question mentioned in its title: Why
    *should* you install PowerShell?

I admit that I tried using it and couldn't see much of a point for my
own uses. It's necessary if you want to do some rather advanced things
with the system, and it was necessary to enable the possibility of
hardware encrypting my storage, but for any other use it is unintuitive
    and probably too much.
