A Tesla erupted in flames outside Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas
on Wednesday, forcing an evacuation of the luxury high-rise, according
to multiple media reports.
Guests reported hearing a “massive explosion” – possibly several – which
triggered fire alarms throughout the 64-story tower on Fashion Show
Drive. Local media first reported a vehicle fire early in the morning
near the Fashion Show Mall and the Trump property. Emergency responders
quickly sealed off the area.
A video has surfaced on social media showing the burning vehicle. A
minute-long clip apparently taken from inside the hotel lobby shows what appears to be a Tesla Cybertruck parked just outside the hotel entrance.
The vehicle is almost fully engulfed in flames, with plumes of thick
gray smoke rising above it.
The cause of the blaze remains unknown. Local authorities, emergency
services, and law enforcement have yet to comment. Tesla has also
maintained silence.
The Trump International Hotel is partly owned by US President-elect
Donald Trump.
