Built in Telnet for Internet Explorer7 has been shut off by Microsoft! In order to re-enable it, download the file called IETelnet.reg in the
    Files
menu under the conference section called Comm!
Just double click it and it'll make changes in your system registry to
    turn
    the built-in Telnet back on!

I know the reason why but I won't say.

    come on, spill the beans!!!!

I've integrated this fix into the windows installers I made for mTelnet
and SyncTERM... you can download them from my website... also, considering
you don't have any kind of notice in your message of how to get to your
BBS the suggestion was kind of moot.

Well I'm not running IE7 here, but I wonder why MS would shut that feature
    off?

Please correct me if I am totally wrong here, but doesn't all that do is enable the command line telnet client to be your default telnet handler? I know if you use Hyperterm as a telnet client for the first time, it asks you if you want to to be the default helper program for telnet connections from that point on out. That way, if you click on a telnet:// link, it loads up and connects you to the system you want to connect to.
