How's Ami/X working for ya? I've been running Zeus on my 1200 for a while now
and really miss the good old days.

LOL! Did I find that Trek link here? I thought I saw it elsewhere. Funny brilliant stuff.
Well, until recently it was pretty well neglected - but I got myself a new A1200 keyboard (Amigakit rules)
and no longer have to search for words without an R in them lol. Just a few days ago I tidied things up a fair bit
by cron'ing a daily backup of the BBS, time sync with NTP server - plus a few bits and pieces
on the BBS itself. I hope to do more, perhaps even getting a larger drive and filling the BBS with
files, like the oldschool /X boards.
Quite a while ago I did put together my BBS (stripped down, of course, user.data etc) into a 4mb zip file -
almost-ready to run in WinUAE. I can't for the life of me find the second author of /X (Joseph Hodge)
and a fair few people are asking for the software. Textfiles has a few copies, but nothing you can easily
setup - so I'm thinking of putting my files on our main /X webpage. I dunno it's all illegal. I wish Joseph would
surface for five minutes for a chat.

I hear ya. You know what they say, it's easy to beg for forgiveness than ask
for permision. Put it up man.
Do you have any message net's setup? BinkD for Amiga run's somewhat
stable
and CrashMail's key is in the wild. I run a somewhat underground message network called SciNet (http://hysteriabbs.com/scinet) might be something
ur
users would be interested in.
I'll get that AmiExpress up on the site over the weekend. As for message net's -
I never understood that in the past, you mean Fidonet? Funnily enough, I
was checking out such possibilities a couple of weeks ago, so yeah I'm interested -
depends on the load it puts on the Amiga. I'm 6mb fast, 2mb chip - I'll study the
/X guide soon and see what it says.
I forgot to say, I have a pretty decent net connection with a static IP, if that helps any.

Fidonet might not where you want to be, it's a cess pool of nerds fighting over
stupid things. There are other net's like scinet and zeronet which i
think
you'd be better suited for.
I also have 6+2 on my Amiga and Crashmail/Binkd run without a problem.

I see the message here at Digital Distortion.
And here at The Pharcyde, now that I turned on this sub to be newscanned. :
I'm glad your awake
I am. It's too bad you're not. You have entirely too much shit on your plat IMHO.
